Improving Life Chances

Our Curriculum

We offer a highly innovative and personalised curriculum which is tailored to individual pupils' needs and provides pathways which enables transition to exciting destinations in further and higher education, training and apprenticeships.

The curriculum is broad and balanced with an unashamed focus on reading, writing and maths.

We engage our pupils' creatively and develop enjoyment of learning through developing programmes of study based on and reflecting pupil interests. There is also an emphasis on developing resilience, independence and lifelong learning skills tailored to individual needs. The curriculum provides challenge, supports differing needs and learning styles.

Our curriculum is accessible to pupils with English as an additional language.

British values, cultural diversity, equality and difference is celebrated throughout the curriculum. Pupils at Key Stage 4 take nationally recognised qualifications, including GCSE, as appropriate. Our curriculum meets statutory requirements of the new National Curriculum.
